Many F-150 drivers have been looking for skid plates for daily driving, overlanding, and offroad. Whether you use your vehicle for work or play, we have an option that will work for your application. RCI’s F-150 skid plates are available in two popular options:
10ga Steel– Great all-purpose protection, and the best value for the money. These make a great upgrade whether you already have the stock skid plates, or have nothing at all. Our 10 gauge skid plates are far tougher than OEM and provide significantly more coverage, especially when purchased as part of our “Full Skid Plate Package”. A heavy duty black powdercoat finish is standard on the steel option and will provide years of reliable use and great looks.
1/4” Aluminum– Excellent all around protection for any purpose, substantially stronger than factory skid plates, extremely corrosion resistant and cannot rust means they require no finish or paint prior to installation. The aluminum skid plates are extremely lightweight yet strong and are the premium choice if you are looking for the best strength to weight ratio, while being comparable if not holding a slight edge over the 10ga steel product line.

Great quality skid plates for my 2022 F150 STX. The steel plates are super heavy but very strong. My only real complaint is the retaining speed clips that come with the plates…they’re so tight like they’re made for a frame that’s waaaay thinner than that of a truck. I ended up loosing one that popped off and went into my frame…I’m sure I’ll hear it bouncing around while I’m driving 🤣

Excellent product to replace the cardboard/nylon junk underneath the front cv shafts. The RCI front skid plate is a nice touch as well. I also bought the bigger oil pan cover last year that replaces the other bigger junk cardboard/nylon piece that Ford came up with. 2.7 and if you buy the oil pan cover in addition to this product there is a trap door that comes off with the ease of 4 bolts to drain the oil easily and clean. Hope this helps people out.

I have had these plates on my truck now for a few months and they are a great compliment to my previous purchase of the tranny plate and cat guards. I love these products from RCI Metalworks. They are solid, easy to install, never missing hardware and their customer support is excellent. My ford dealer hates them because they far exceed anything Ford sells as OEM and they are heavy to remove when needed.
This Is protection of the highest order with style. Will continue to expand with the transfer case plate and the fuel tank plates. Well done and thank you for another great product.

The product is great. Sturdy and uncomplicated to install. Not being mechanically inclined I was able to figure it with a few YouTube searches.
RCI’s instructions are horrible. Totally assumes you know some things as well as illustrations are not clear nor is the wording in what to do.
My 2021 F150. Sport is not lifted or leveled and I’m a lean guy, I had to put my truck up on blocks to get clearance to put on the rear part of the Engine Skid Plate. Would be nice if RCI let you know this stuff ahead of time as we had to improvise and probably not in the most safe way to elevate the truck.

2019 w/3.5 ecoboost
Front speed clips are a bear to get in place. Had to remove the bolt for the intercooler support one side at a time to get the clip in. Once I got past that install was simple. Got the powder coated aluminum and I couldn’t be happier. Very substantial difference than the ones I had from another supplier. My only regret is not ordering the full package or at least the transmission plate. Good news is I’m still vertical and my truck is better protected than ever before. Thank you RCI! Keep up the good work. BTW, order processed and delivered within 4 days.

2021 F150 Power boost: The quality of the product cannot be beat.. Product arrived quickly and in good condition. Honestly it was heavier and stronger than I thought it would be. On my 2020 one, the problem is that with the front plate on, we cannot access the oil filter for a change. The do you need to remove the front plate each time. This should be noted in the description of my opinion.. On my power boost the front gaurd fit but it was not exact. It’s almost like the truck was a little different in the angle, and the brackets didn’t line up correctly.
I did come back and purchase the transmission cover as well, both the mid engine cover and a transmission cover fit perfectly.

Glad I had a lift available. Install went well. Instructions are a little hard to work with. The product itself is excellent and delivered faster than I expected. I agree with others that Ford didn’t have a better idea with Oem. Original is made of horse sh– and glue. Also, I like access to the oil drain plug.

Excellent product and worth every penny. Install was easy, I had order another one from American Truck and it did not fit. You were required to purchase an aftermarket bumper. With RCI Skid plate, it works with the factory bumper and that is exactly what I was looking for. Great customer service and quick ship time. My feedback would be, clearer instructions and an install video or more pictures in the instructions. It was fairly straight forward but more photos or install video would have been a great addition.

Just put the engine 2 piece plate on 2019 3.5L. Only negative I’d have is that the instructions could be clearer. Be nice to have a step by step video. Once I figured out the front bracket goes under the support for the radiator all was smooth, but took some time to decipher that from the small pic in installation guide. Otherwise this is a solid piece of kit and way better than the cheap crap Ford went with.

I received the front skid plates and am very happy with my purchase! I bought the RCI Aluminum powder coat plates and they are super thick and probably the best skid plates on the market from all of the research I have done. I am truly satisfied and am ordering the rest of the skid plates. I was surprised about the lack of protection under the truck before I installed the plates as Ford is now using cheap flimsy fiber materials as skid plates very pathetic to see cheap protection on a 65,000 dollar truck that is meant to go off road! Anything to cut weight and save gas money!

Fit and finish excellent . It took me about double than the above poster due to my 4 year old interrupted . I too crawled underneath 2019 Ford F-150 , XL with 3.5 eco boost without jacking it up. I should have purchased full set instead of front skid plate .
