Nice unit but a few inches shorter than stock unit and does not protect power steering unit and lines like the OEM plate does.

Great looking and functioning skid plate. Super well made and solid. I have had it on my 4Runner for 2 years now and is awesome. The 2 downsides/Issues I faced were the front lip, and the hardware provided. The front lip that wraps around the subframe makes it impossible to take on and off without removing my bumper. I ended up cutting the lip off because it was such a pain if I ever needed to remove it. Second, the supplied hardware is a joke and super weak. I had to go buy all my own bolts because a couple of the the supplied ones snapped simply under normal tightening conditions. I had one snap removing the skid plate as well. The lip may not be an issue for other people but, the way my bumper is made made the lip design a real pain. Provide quality hardware as well and you got 5 stars without hesitation!

I put one of the RCI skid plates on my 1997 4Runner 4 years ago and it’s been awesome. Good group of folks too. I picked it up since I am local to northern Colorado, and the fabrication shop is so great….small metal building out in the middle of nowhere and just a bunch of cool cats bending metal. My kind of place! And the product is above and beyond and well priced. The most sturdy thing on the whole rig.
