Many Tundra drivers have been looking for skid plates for daily driving, overlanding, and offroad. Whether you use your vehicle for work or play, we have an option that will work for your application. RCI’s Tundra skid plates are available in two popular options:
10ga Steel– Great all-purpose protection, and the best value for the money. These make a great upgrade whether you already have the stock skid plates, or have nothing at all. Our 10 gauge skid plates are far tougher than OEM and provide significantly more coverage. WEIGHS 76LBS
1/4” Aluminum– Excellent all around protection for daily drivers, and much stronger than factory skid plates. Rust and corrosion resistant aluminum means they require no paint finish prior to installation. The aluminum material is substantially lighter than steel and thanks to its extra thickness it is just as strong. WEIGHS 48LBS

Also forgot to mention that the engine skid plate has a door for changing the oil filter and none of the guards block access to drain oil. Changing oil was alwasy a hassle with the stock engine skid plate because you had to remove the entire skid plate to change the oil. That’s reason alone to buy.

I purchased the steel guards, engine, transmission, and catalytic converter guards for my 2008 Toyota Tundra. High quality, beautiful, easy to install, and it protects my truck. Instructions were easy to follow and installation was easy. I installed all of them yesterday by myself with only 1 functioning arm, I recently had surgery on my right arm and so I can’t lift anything yet. Guards look great installed and I could not be happier.
