This plate fills the gap between the stock bumper and an RCI Front skid plate for the 2010-Present 4Runner and provides a premium quality, fit and finish.

If you order the RCI skid and plan to run the OEM bumper, you will want this if you don’t order it with the skid. It looks better, offers more protection for the radiator, condenser and lines and, if for nothing else, it protects against road debris while driving down the highway. Additionally, maybe, just maybe, it gives you some aerodynamics to squeeze out another drop of fuel economy. Just get it and thank me later.

I had one it worked great I gotta buy another one because my four runner was stolen and all they took was my winch bumper the filler plate and my jack axe and shovel plus some tools but it works I’ve bounced off of stumps and boulders with that plate if I hadn’t had radiator and condenser would have been toast thanks RCI

If you don’t plan on cutting up your bumper, this is absolutely worth it. Install is a breeze, it’s way more sturdy than the OEM filler piece, and honestly it’s probably more aerodynamic as well (not that you bought a 4Runner for its outstanding aerodynamics, but it may well help with AC condenser protection and performance).
I was told that the OEM plastic filler piece could be cut to fit the RCI skid, but the end result just wasn’t quite right- you have to trim quite a bit off and sort of shove it into place one end at a time, stretching it around the skid… not feeling it. My only regret is not buying the RCI piece when I bought their skid in the first place!
