RCI rock sliders for 4Runners utilize a full frame support mounting plate which serves both to protect your frame from damage, as well as provides an extremely rigid attachment for the sliders by using multiple bolt locations all across the frame. These will help protect the truck both off-road as well as in the parking lot, and are still very functional as a step if needed.

I recently received the RCI Rock Sliders at 20 degrees with the satin powder coat. The packaging was very well put together and they shipped fast. I installed them with my son and two 4 ton jack stands. The rock sliders are an excellent fit and they are very well built and put together. They are worth every penny for the protection off road. The 20 degree angle fits nice and tuck to the rocker panel but there’s still enough space to use as a running board. I cant recommend these enough. Thanks RCI for an excellent product. I’ll be back to order other products for sure!

That being said they used my vehicle to test parts, the rock sliders here being one of them. Just installed these (with top plate) on my ‘24 ORP. I ordered them because I installed RCI rock sliders on my 2016 5 years ago and they have held up well off-roading in CO. Similar to the 2016 the install was an easy one man job and everything lined up perfectly. I was surprised that the top plate was not welded on but having installed them it will be easier to remove and re-powdercoat if ever necessary. My wife liked having a ‘step’ on the 2016 so I went back to RCI for this set.

Extremely Disappointed with Packaging, Product Condition, and Customer Service
I recently purchased a pair of rock sliders from RCI Off Road, and my experience has been disappointing. One of the packages arrived with severe damage to the box. This raised immediate concerns about the handling during shipping and the overall quality control from RCI Off Road.
Because the installation was done by a mechanic, I had already paid for the installation and didn’t notice that the powder coat was scratched in two places, which began to rust within a couple of days. When I reached out to RCI customer service with pictures of the damage, the agent told me to purchase a can of paint and patch the scratches myself.
I followed up, asking for a partial credit for the condition and the trouble. The agent was rather arrogant and basically told me that I should always expect such damages when shipping online. He suggested I reach out to FedEx. He also further stated that rock sliders eventually get scratched and I should be prepared to patch them anyway.
I find this response unacceptable. I paid $1200 for a new product and expect the standards to be maintained and the company to stand behind their products, not redirect me to spend more money and time due to poor packaging or shipping.
I hope RCI Off Road takes this feedback seriously and improves their packaging and customer service. Until then, I would hesitate to recommend their products to others.

These are skids and have already been scratched and scraped, but still I wish they would have been packaged better. That’s my only gripe.

I ordered these sliders without the top plate, for my 2024 4Runner ORP. When I ordered, I was hoping they would be here before a trip I’m taking at the end of January. After ordering them, I didn’t receive a shipping notification, so after about a week, I emailed RCI. They responded quickly and let me know they were experiencing about a 4-6 week lead time. I advised them of my trip at the end of the month and they stated they would try to put a rush on my order. Well, 11 days later, I had the sliders on my front porch. Customer service is a lost art these days and it is nice to do business with a company that still takes care of customers and not advantage of them.
The fit and finish were great and the install took less than an hour. I will definitely refer others to this business.

I was at Overland Expo Mtn West and checked out RCI booth. To my surprise and good luck, they had a set of 4Runner (2022) rock sliders in-stock and I grabbed it 🙂 :). Installation is breeze and once the Slider is aligned to frame, everything makes sense. Floor jack and a single person job. So far very happy with installation and looks. Decent kickout for my kiddo to get into. Yet to test it on-rocks. Tons of bolts go into frame so no concerns over there. Strongly recommend the product.

Just purchased rock sliders for my wife’s 2018 4 runner. The black finish was great. Im no welder, but you can look at the beads and tell there is quality in the welds. the fitment was spot on when it came to installing all the bolts and the install took less than an hour. Its an amazing product.
But the biggest praise I have is the service.
These things have some gravity in them and the delivery man was not up to the challenge. I believe he dropped one box onto the other when delivering. these parts are packaged well but one of my top tread plates took some damage. I called RCI and the gentleman that answered was very professional.
With a 5 minute phone call and a few pictures emailed, a new part was shipped out. RCI made a great product and backed it 100%, and in todays world of online ordering that is paramount.

Let’s start with shipping. Said 8 weeks out and arrived in 3 days which was obviously an awesome surprise! One box was beat up but the sliders were perfect and well packaged.
These are very well built and the powder coat is legit. I was able to get 23 of the 24 bolts in which is pretty impressive build quality if you ask me. There was literally no holes for the 24th bolt on my rig. These are heavy so use stands or something to help hold them up. The 5 degree you can easily install as high as they can go with zero clearance issues. Total install was about an hour by myself.
Lastly before you pull all your frame plugs out, roughly align the sliders. You do not need to pull them all out. Might as well leave what you can in place.
Awesome product, I have zero doubts they will perform extremely well and look damn good doing it!

I bought these several years ago. Been happy with them since. Very happy with them today. A RAV4 hit me in the driver’s side door this afternoon. These sliders took the brunt of the hit. They caused his vehicle to slide across mine instead of smash the driver’s side door in. Saved the vehicle (doesn’t look like any frame damage, but the shop will check) and possibly me.

Mounted on a 2010 4Runner Trail Edition 3 inch lift. Top notch quality and craftsmanship. Fit is excellent, easy install and the 20 degree angle is spot on. 1/2 inch of rear door clearance. Everything from RCI I have put on my rig is genuine quality and packaged very nicely. Install tip- 3/8 air ratchet and your done in 30 minutes.

The standard 20 degree RCI rock sliders are so well made (DOM steel), and they look fabulous. Best bang for the buck in my opinion. My wife and I installed them in about 2 hours on my 2021 4Runner Off Road Premium. The fit was perfect, all of the screw holes lined up without having to maneuver the sliders. I was really surprised, figured if I ran into any difficulty, I could always have them professionally installed. RCI Metal Works is a great American business.

Bought in 2018 with factory powder coat finish. Vehicle has not been offroad and within 6 months powder coat began bubbling and rust formed under the power coat finish where the top plate is welded to the round bars. This premature powder coat failure is usually a result of poor metal prep prior to power coat! My rock sliders are now more brown than black and the powder coat is peeling where the top plate meets the round bars. Wish I had not paid for the powder coat as now I’ll have to pay someone to blast and re-powder coat my bars.

Very easy install. Easy to figure out without instructions. On the driver’s side you need to pop off the brake line bolt (initially forgot to do this as I was getting it in place), but after that simply line up and bolt into place and level it. Just did them on my 21 4Runner. Very solid attachment, lots of bolts going into the frame, so I’m not concerned at all about the ability of these to hold the weight of the vehicle.

Got my sliders today for my 4Runner 2020, it took about a week to get them.
The install was very easy, around 1h40min ( I did it alone)
I’m very happy with the quality of the sliders, the powder coating is flawless. Can’t wait to get to the trail and give em a try.
The sliders didn’t provide any instructions, but like I said it’s extremely easy to install and everything makes sense once they are aligned with the frame.
I used couple of hydraulic jacks to put them into place.

Just installed mine. 2020 4Runner off road premium non KDSS. Packaging was very nice. Boxed well and protected on all corners in the box. Install and fitment was perfect. I was amazed at how well they fit. No grinding needed on any bolt holes and exact amount of hardware included. Very well built, welds are very nice. I think a very worthy addition for protection. Protrudes from the side just enough to protect all the vulnerable areas but not too much to detract from clearance. Very nicely designed and made. I could not be happier. Install took about half hour a side by myself. I just propped them up on jack stands until I could get the first few bolts installed. then all other bolts went in perfectly. The mounting holes are oblong so you can adjust height a small amount for variance in vehicles. I was able to mount mine as high up as holes alowed and my doors clear perfectly. Very well done RCI!

Recently received the 5 degree coated rock sliders for my 2019 4Runner TRD Off Road,
and had them installed today.
The install was done at the shop that I use for all automotive work.
