I have had this rack installed for several months and I definitely recommend it. I chose a rack this style to make it easier to haul a kayak and mount some lights. The fit and finish on it is great and it is very sturdy. My only concern with replacing the stock roof rails was water leaks but so far I have noticed none - the rubber blocks and bonded washers are doing their job. When I had some questions I reached out to RCI’s social media and their customer service was amazing!

Just received my RCI Full Length 4Runner Roof Rack today and couldn't wait to install it. Easy install, no drilling needed. Helps to have a helper put it on roof with you unless you are pretty strong. Rock solid and excellent quality. All holes were precision drilled. Everything lined up and everything threaded easily and correctly. This increases the functionality of my 4Runner exponentially. Ladders can be strapped on top for work days, tons of gear and luggage for play days. Found RCI highly recommended on some 4Runner forums. Believe the hype. This is a very well done rack at an awesome price. Endlessly customizable with any accessories that use T-Nuts for securing them on the 8 cross bars. I look forward to making more purchases from RCI!

I've had it installed for about 9 months. So far so good. I needed amber chase/dust lights, and finding something that looked integrated and fit well on the rear panel was a bit of a challenge. I eventually found that the "Chelhead 7in super slim light bar set" from Amazon, fits well behind the inner ports of the rear panel.

Easy to assemble, excellent fit! This rack far exceeds the capacity of the roof. Its low-profile is a huge plus. It's compatible with the WD Designs ladder and looks like they belong together. Once you look at the OEM rack and this one, as well as other offerings from competitors, you will realize what an exceptional and versatile piece of equipment and tremendous value that this RCI rack is.

Great rack! Solid! Pretty easy to install! I tried to do it by installing the side rails first! (Didn't read any instructions!). Then realized it's very hard to access the front visor and rear valance bolts! So I completely built it on the ground and had a helper (unhappy wife) lift it on the roof! One of the reasons I got this rack is the rubber mounting blocks! I thought these were much better than the competitors tubes!

Great rack! It was simple to install in about 45 minutes. I replaced a Frontrunner rack and this one is so much quieter.

Major issues with the front wind fairing. Dealer installed. At 45 m/hr the fairing starts flexing and vibrating causing excessive noise. The fairing front edge was installed just off the roofline. Solution suggested was to lower it so the edge was touching the roofline. Seemed to work for a while. Noise came back at 45 m/hr. Opened moonroof and watched the fairing flex back and worth creating the noise. I removed the fairing and discovered that the fairing vibration ate the paint. 2023 with less than 4 k miles now has to go to the paint shop for repairs.
There is no center support for the wind fairing allowing the fairing to flex. Bad design. Needs improvement. If you install this rack better to toss the fairing in the trash.

It took a couple of hours to get properly installed. There were NO instructions in the box, and as of right now, there are NO instructions on the website. I’ll update after it’s been on a few months.

    Installation hints:
    – Put all of the cross bars, wind deflector, and back piece in loosely
    – The wider roof attachment brackets to on the rear
    – Use a blanket or something when you try to put it on the roof so you can move it around without scratching your top
    – Put the adhesive pads under the front brackets and loosely install all of the rest
    – After you have it loosely assembled and attached to the 4Runner, shift it around to center it up and tighten everything up
    – I added Silicone RTV to the roof bolts just in case
