Bought these for my 2020 SR5. While I don’t do any major wheeling at the moment, I still wanted some rock sliders for a little piece of mind on some of the trails I drive.
I’m happy with the RCI sliders, install was easy and even though I was missing some hardware, customer service was on top of it and got the missing stuff shipped right away. Will most likely be buying skids and bumpers from RCI in the future.

Just installed my sliders, and they are looking great and sturdy. The only thing is that install instruction pdf could be more helpful if it had photos of the bolts and washers and some additional photos of where they go in, and the different parts we have to take off from the bottom carriage of the vehicle. Other than that, it seems like they go in where they are supposed to.

I purchased a pair of these in 2020 for our Gen 3 Tacoma. We were out on an off-road adventure in Moab when I accidentally rolled off a ledge that was bigger than I realized and the whole front end of the vehicle fell onto the front end of the passenger slider. It hit hard. Like echo-through-the-canyon hard. I was sure that I was going to get out and see the slider pushed into the rocker panel and door. Nope–the slider had a dent on outer bar, but it didn’t bend at all and there was zero damage to the Tacoma. And so when I bought our new 2024 Bronco, the very first thing I did was order a set of RCI sliders to replace the Bronco’s factory installed and body-mounted ‘sliders’. These RCI sliders are a great product!

Just got mine . Easy install. Quality is awesome. If you got young kids or pets get the top plates. I cringe thinking about there legs going in the holes when they get out. Just saying on any sliders. Love my sliders

Love these sliders, install by myself in my driveway was simple enough with some jack stands.
I have had them a year now and have punished them with no complaints at all in terms of performance but the powdercoat on the top plates did pop/chip on the outer edge along the tubing seam since they aren’t fully welded (and I don’t think that would be a practical solution either).
They’re starting to rust on those edges so I’ll have to get them all cleaned up come spring. I am thinking that it might be better to have a gap/relief between the tubing and the top plate even though it looks SUPER clean having it all flush.
Other competitive versions of this design use bolted on plates and I would never opt to go that route unless someone really had the patience to waterproof every piece of hardware.

Decent product, rock solid and great price.
After an eight week wait, they sent me to driver side sliders but able to resolve and turnaround within a week which is reasonable. I had a pleasant experience with customer service.
Passenger slider came with a decent scratch and another knick in the slider which I will have to touch up to prevent if from rusting. If I were to buy again, I wouldn’t pay $150 for a powdercoat and I would just finish it myself since I have to touch it up anyways. Better packaging could help with the finish and prevent this in the future.
I didn’t find the installation guide that useful and found TacomaWorld to be a better resource with regard to electrical boxes no longer fitting, brake lines, etc.

These bad boys (plus the RCI front skid and a hitch-mount skid) allowed is to take a stock Tacoma through Hell’s Revenge with zero body damage. All that’s needed is a little touch-up paint on the sliders and it’s good as new.

Purchased these the same day I ordered my 2020 Tacoma TRD Off Road in voodoo blue. Very happy with the quality of product. These were packed very well and had zero issues with shipping. I ordered the standard 20 degrees with top plate and painted satin black. Was able to install by myself with the help of a floor jack. I was able to keep foam wrap and cellophane on during installation in case I lost balance with my floor jack. I knew I had to pop off 2 covers off the frame for the front mounting holes and all was straight forward. My only issue was a wire harness on the drivers side. I had to remove 2 clips on the frame that held the wire harness, with the slider nearly in place. Over all I think these are the best sliders available and the price was great. RCI does have sales on their products unlike some other vendors. Would definitely purchase these again and plan to buy more RCI items in the future. I would attach pictures if it was an option to show off my RCI sliders.

Love these RCI sliders on my 2016 Tacoma. The guys at RCI quickly responded with photo go answer a question pre-purchase. The first mod to my truck, they were a little harder to install than I expected. But when a guy in a civic pulled into traffic and rammed the side of the truck, these saved my bacon. A scuff on the sliders and a scratch on my rear wheel vs him losing his front bumper. RCI FTW!!
