For the price cannot complain , however it was not cosmetically perfect, some spots where the powder coat wasn’t complete, and also some of drill holes in the support brackets needed to be filed to get carriage bolts through. The finish and quality are definitely not the as good as Front Runner which I installed on my Land Cruiser. I was considering many other products from RCI for my Tacoma build , but think I may shop elsewhere for my other accessories. Was nice that it is in town where I live tho, like to give money locally.

Pros: Pretty decent roof rack for the price. Bonus points for the rubber mounting pad design and front wind fairing design for highway noise. Makes any tacoma look awesome. Overall the roof rack was a decent buy and I am extremely happy with it. I can tell the installation hardware was given an update to its design and is appropriate for this application.
Cons: some of the T-slot cross bars came with blemishes and prior mounting marks (used??). The rear end cap design is pretty weak as there was a forward bow that got close to my shark-fin antenna which i was able to actually bend backwards with my hands to straighten (this tells me that the rear end cap/cross bar cannot take a significant load and i will likely look into reinforcing it in the future). Mounting a lightbar with the RCI brackets needed some modification to the hex bolts as they were too long for the T-slot groove and they would contact the base metal before they would secure and tighten the brackets down, this issue can be remedied by grinding down the bolts to length or finding shorter hardware, the bracket design also causes light bars to be mounted above the t-slot cross bars so one must consider this when loading items on the roof to avoid contact on the light bar. In addition the front fairing design the fairing must come into contact with the roof and bear the risk of chafing the paint on the roof, i was able to remedy this with the application of a 6″x 60″ strip of polyurethane PPF on the roof leading edge so that the weather seal rides on the applied film.
Conclusion: my review has the CONS section longer than the PROS section but that does not mean that i am dissatisfied with the roof rack. I am just listing things that just needed areas of attention that one may consider when choosing this roof rack. Overall this rack is better than the other offerings on the market and is the roof rack I ultimately chose because of its features.

Awesome and great looking roof rack! This thing is light but SOLID , no complaints here. I got it together in my living room and installed alone other then help from the wife lifting it on top of the truck. Pretty simple and straightforward for the install as well. Definitely happy with my RCI gear, full skids underneath the truck as well.

Just installed on my 2009 Tacoma. Easy install, feels rock solid, and impressive looks! Cant wait to start mounting some kayaks up there. Any idea how much total weight this thing can hold?

I installed my new RCI roof rack a couple weeks ago. All parts and hardware were included, it was perfectly wrapped and packaged, it went together very easy in my living room, and the install was very easy as well. Until after the install when I got to cutting the molding pieces on the roof to fit. Having a grinder/cutter on hand makes a huge difference. I’ll be buying one now.
Other than that this thing is a work of art!! It’s beautiful and it doesn’t require any silicone/caulking because it mounts on rubber blocks. This also helped to make the install easy! The only help I needed for the entire install was to help me carry the assembled rack out to the truck and place it on top of the rubber blocks. Easy peasy!
Well done RCI!!
