Built with your choice of 3/16” cnc cut steel or 1/4” laser cut aluminum, this plate is custom fit to protect the front of all 4th generation 2003-2009 4Runner, GX 470, and 07-09 FJ Cruiser with premium quality, fit and finish.

Just a quick note to say your bare alum. Skid plate for Gen 4 4Runner’s was an easy install and solved the V8 oil filter access issue and convenient cutout for easy access to the fumoto oil drain. Thank you for a great, well engineered product.

Ordered the black steel. High quality and beefy! Just make sure to put the nylon washers in between the skid plate and the frame at the most rear bolts.

After trying several other companies/skid plates, this was by far the best. It actually bolts on to factory mounts and took me about 30 minutes to install. This is a fantastic product and I will be buying more of RCI stuff. Also, called tech support for a quick question and the guys helped me right away and was super nice. Well done RCI!

I have been looking to upgrade my factory skids on my 2004 V8 for a while and, after looking around, I decided on the raw aluminum engine skid and could not be more happy with my choice. I wanted to stay away from steel as our vehicle is not a rock basher and loved that these came in a quality aluminum option. This is light weight with excellent craftsmanship plus quality hardware.
