Provide the maximum protection for your 2021-Present F-150 with a skid plate package by RCI Metalworks. Protect your investment with RCI skids, the ultimate defense for all on and off-road hazards.

Many F150 owners have been looking for skid plates for everyday use and light off-roading, whether camping, hunting, working, or playing. We listened to your feedback and RCI skid plates for 2015-2022 trucks are now available in two options, providing the protection for any application. Below are the benefits of 10ga steel and 1/4” aluminum options, both offering premium quality, fit and finish.

10ga Steel– Great all-purpose protection, and the best value for the money. These make a great upgrade whether you already have the stock skid plates, or have nothing at all. Our 10 gauge skid plates are far tougher than OEM and provide significantly more coverage, especially when purchased as part of our “Full Skid Plate Package”. A heavy duty black powdercoat finish is standard on the steel option and will provide years of reliable use and great looks. WEIGHS 88lbs

1/4Aluminum– Excellent all around protection for any purpose, substantially stronger than factory skid plates, extremely corrosion  resistant and cannot rust means they require no finish or paint prior to installation. The aluminum skid plates are extremely lightweight yet strong and are the premium choice if you are looking for the best strength to weight ratio, while being comparable if not holding a slight edge over the 10ga steel product line. WEIGHS 58lbs

    2021 Powerboost 4×4
I installed the full set replacing the pathetic fiber diapers that basically provide zero protection. The plates installed easily, and the included hardware is high quality compared to the stock bolts and EZ clips. This installed behind the airdam without removing or unbolting anything, but it does require a little finagling to wedge it in underneath the airdam and then kitty cornering it into place between the suspension mounts. Very easy to do, but requires knowing it needs to be wedged in. The oil drain cut out is in the right spot, but there’s no way to get to the oil filter that I can see without removing the front and second engine plates. (4 -15mm bolts). The transmission plate has the cut out for the drain in the right spot, but at that point it’s only 3 more 13mm bolts to drop the whole tranny plate and have nothing in the way so up to you. The one thing I needed to do was put the transfer case skid plate on top of the transmission skid plate exposing the skid plate lip, because if I tried to put it underneath where it belongs, the skid plate contacted the transfer case housing. With it on top, it gives about 1/16″ clearance to the housing. (You can see pics of the install with a write up here: https://www.f150forum.com/f129/rci-skid-plates-503234/)

Overall I highly recommend and the quality and beefiness of the new plates is just fantastic! Well done RCI and keep me in mind if you have products you would like trial fitment or testing with. Happy to help, you guys do great work.
