Works awesome on a 2001 Tacoma 8” called the company this time last year with measurements and sent photo of what I have. Finally got around to installing and it was a cakewalk! Great doing business with this company and having a little extra protection. Wanted to add photo but cannot do. It works if others with 2001 are looking

I needed a rear diff skid plate for my 97 reg cab tacoma the rear end is a 8.4 gearing is 4.10 and I saw this fit a 1st gen so I ordered it. Make sure your diff plug is on passenger side. Went to to install it and it fit perfectly! I was very pleased with the result. Only thing I had to do was loosen the rear brake line, just one screw to give space to the bracket. Would highly recommend.
